c) Application of Behavioural Science in Organizations
* All participants were encouraged to share their views in which the following emerged
1) Knowledge for concious analysis of facts and resolving organizational dynamics
2) Removing individual bias while assessing competence in assessment centres
The discussion evolved out of a real case in one of the organizations where an employee
had moved up in the ranks and had become a branch head. This led to a lot of negative
grapevine, plagurism in the organization as employees were still eyeing the Boss as a
continuation of his earlier role. The person concerned was also uneasy in the intricacies of
his new role and was maintaining a stiff upper lip in his dealings.
The solutions as deliberated could be the following -
* Active involvement of the HR as a facilitator in this environment
* Increased communication through formal channels
* Selling on the positive aspects of fast track career in the company
* To be neutral and fair in all organizational dealings
